After years as a local and then coast-to-coast DJ and program director, he began creating, writing and co-producing a long string of radio and TV series and specials. Among these are: the Disney Channel’s “Legends of Comedy,” CBS’ “In Touch,” PBS’ “America In The ’40s,” Radio Works’ “Remembering The ’70s,” Envision’s “100 Greatest Christmas Hits of All Time,” Drake-Chenault’s “Elvis” and the Billboard award- winning 52-hour epic version of “The History of Rock ‘n’ Roll.” Gary’s work has earned multiple Telly, Golden Reel, Communicator and New York Festivals International Radio Programming awards – the latest, in 2014, for THE HISTORY OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL WITH GARY THEROUX.
