Jammin' Africa
Musicians across Africa are making a lot of waves these days, and African Pop, Hip-Hop, Dance and R&B are getting international attention like never before. Listeners in every country identify with the common cause of African unity through music. Radio, Africa’s number one mass communication medium, is leading the way by discovering and promoting local musicians. Many of Africa’s most listened-to radio stations play a mix of international, regional and local music. The old boundaries are vanishing.

JAMMIN' AFRICA is a unique weekly 2-hour radio show featuring a Top 20 countdown of The Africa Chart, presented by Phat Joe, featuring the hottest music from Africa and beyond, exclusive show features like Backstage Pass interviews with top artists, special Field Operative reports from around the continent, Africa Live concert dates, music and entertainment news.

The Africa Chart:
Since early 2007, Radio Express has been tabulating airplay on 30 dominant radio stations in sub-Saharan Africa. The result: the Africa Chart, a weekly chart of consolidated airplay targeting young people in Africa in rural and urban locales. The purpose: creating an international stage where African and international artists all strive for upward momentum toward the number one spot.
