THE AFRICA CHART

Since early 2007, Radio Express has been tabulating airplay on 30 dominant radio stations in sub-Saharan Africa. The result: the Africa Chart, a weekly chart of consolidated airplay targeting young people in Africa in rural and urban locales. The purpose: creating an international stage where African and international artists all strive for upward momentum toward the number one spot.

The Africa Chart is a virtual venue for emerging African stars, where African artists like ZONKE (South Africa), 2FACE (Nigeria), NONINI (Kenya), JUA KALI (Tanzania), AMANI (Kenya) and OLU MAINTAIN (Nigeria) compete with international artists like Ne-Yo, Beyonce, Usher, 50 Cent and Alicia Keys.
