The House of Blues Radio Hour
The House of Blues Radio Hour is the longest running blues show in radio history, on the air since 1993. The original Elwood Blues himself presents great blues music and musicians. Elwood is played by Dan Aykroyd, the writer and actor who originated the role on television and on film. (See illustration below.)

The Blues are the root of Jazz, Rock, R&B and Rap. Each week, Elwood celebrates the past, present, and future of the Blues.  The House of Blues Radio Hour is a 2-hour weekly show, with each single hour devoted to one theme in Blues music. The show usually focuses on one artist's life and music, but sometimes Elwood will pick a theme, such as cars, trains, women, guitars, harmonicas or soul music, and play songs that are related to that theme. And each week, Elwood Blues chooses his favorite NEW song of the week, his Blues Breaker.

His recent in-studio interviews are the brightest stars in today’s blues galaxy: Eric Clapton, Janie Hendrix (Jimi’s sister), Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt, BB King, Super Chikan, Tommy Castro, Susan Tedeschi, Elvin Bishop, Jack White, the North Mississippi All-Stars, Duke Robillard, Charlie Musselwhite, Joe Louis Walker, Taj Mahal, Joe Bonamassa, and Joanne Shaw Taylor.

The program also regularly pays tribute to Blues legends like Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Little Walter, John Lee Hooker, Koko Taylor, Ike Turner, Jeff Healey, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Michael Bloomfield and many more.  Elwood’s interview archives stretch back nearly 20 years and he re-plays rare interviews with many of the past masters when the time is right.

The House of Blues Break
The House of Blues Break is a daily 5-minute companion show for The House of Blues Radio Hour. There is an intro, then a place for a spot, then a story with a song. It is perfect to sell to a local sponsor and also gives you a great promo opportunity for the weekly show.
